Using Intuition in
Everyday Life

Yes, the curtain is up
on exciting speaking
and entertainment!

We know inside ourselves what we should be doing.  It is only in talking it over with somebody, not with just anybody, but with somebody who is extremely competent, really bright, experienced, sending one not only ideas but uplifting, powerful, motivating energy, who has achieved mastery and does it.  The biggest problem in life is finding that person.

SW:    As I told you, the answer was not in me; the answer was in you.  People go around thinking they are going to get the answer from someone else.  That isn’t it.  It is the person who can ask questions. What I call holding the mirror for the person.

QR:     Somers, you are so insightful, competent, incisively drawing and absolutely superb at asking the right questions.  I will give you three of the things I took away from having you as my consultant and coach.

SW: # 1

QR:  The value of systems and follow up.  I was extremely impressed when you showed me what you do in your office, how you do it, where and why you do it.  You have systems set up for every aspect of your business and the discipline to implement the system so you gain leverage.   It seems almost effortless.

You made it so simple, I could not believe it would work for me.  But it did!

SW # 2

QR: You taught me how to be a consultant and coach myself.  So I was actually getting double value from the consultation because you were saying to me, “You see what I’m doing here; how, why and when? You can do the same thing.”  You said, “Quentin, you now have the model to copy and use it in your own business.”  I did not anticipate it, but I was getting double value.

SW:    You learned about consulting and coaching.

QR:     I learned about consulting and coaching when I was actually doing a consultation about my own career.  That alone was worth the price of my investment.

SW: # 3

QR:  My background has not been in sales or management, but you showed me in less than ten minutes how I could quickly become an expert in sales and management, giving a dynamite keynote presentation on either subject with confidence and power.

If anyone had told me this ahead of time, I would have said, “Baloney!  That is impossible.”  I would have been willing to wager 100,000 pounds it could not be done.  It was the greatest “magic” I ever came in contact with.  It was more than magic; it was miraculous.

SW: Tell about our relationship.

QR:     Our relationship started as a business relationship.  Very quickly, as we were working together, I didn’t feel that you were just consulting with my business, but I felt it was more that we were friends and working on where I was going with my career.

I received so much more than I ever had anticipated and quickly received my investment back 20 times over.  Working with you was a life changing experience.  You have a source for building new confidence, recharging my battery, and gaining for me “A Friend For Life.”

SW:    Quentin lets come back to Magic which has been around before Christ, Mohammed and Buddha and many others.  What is it that is so special about magic?

QR:     Magic is creating an illusion.  Every tribe or every civilization that we know of had some form of magic.  They may not have known it as magic, but it started off in the oldest religions.  The medicine man of the tribe, the witch doctor, or the high priest of the group often had to convince the people who came to the temple that the gods were either happy or displeased.

SW:    It was a form of the gods speaking to them.

QR:     Right. It was a physical manifestation of the supernatural world.

SW:    What about ventriloquism and illusionists?

QR:     In the course of a ritual the shaman would create the illusion of communication from “the other world”. Strange ventriloquial sounds or the appearance of strange matter would help convince the onlookers.

Some of the old temples had amazing contraptions built in and made it look that the offerings were accepted. If the priests were able to make gifts of food placed before the altar  disappear, the people felt the offering had been accepted.  They were actually simple devices by today’s standards, but very effective.

SW:    When you know what is going on is all magic, it is really, very simple.

QR:     In principle, yes.  Like anything, when it is fully explained, it can be very simple.
